REEL 2012 TechNical Direction

Design Concepts:
The Gaia:
Earth Goddess, where the living and non-living components of Earth function as a single system. Robotic Plant being the Goddess of Planet Earth!
Planting Architecture:
Creating a Mechanical System that encapsulates existing architecture and replants it below the waves to start a new way of living.
Continental Drift:
A reflection and a story of a continental drift over New York City.
Utopian Photographic Machine:
Where humans use architecture as a photographic machine. Each visitor will be able to stare out through the rotating gears (lens) and experience the outside world totally different. Visitors will have options to see the world outside in black and white, sepia, futuristic, circulation, wireframe, ultraviolet color etc...
Blue Romance:
Establishing a link of feeling with more than just the environment. Where pedestrians and vehicles will encounter a connection of feeling while being illuminated by the blue light that the cables release.
