Atlantic axis
The entry into service of high-speed railway between A Coruña and Vigo (which will continue until Ferrol and the Portuguese border) involves the modernization of a railway line non-electrified single track and not allowed to run at high speeds.
Due to the orographic difficulty and the dispersion of the population of this part of Galicia, this new infrastructure, served 37 tunnels and 32 viaducts, will transition from 37 stations and existing sidings found on the ancient via to only 11, of which 4 they are the main ones: Vigo, Santiago de Compostela and A Coruña.
