Thumbprints with Asian Traditional Ink_ Street Art Museum, St Petersburg, Russia, 2016
It's hard to realise the scale of this wall on the photos. It's massive. And this incredible work was made solely using her thumbprint (at least 90% of the wall her alone) over almost 3 weeks.

JAZOO YANG
Dot Series
2016, Asian ink on wall

Jazoo Yang’s Dots series originates from her work in her native Korea, in particular within areas of the city going through the process of redevelopment. Using traditional Korean ink, and solely using her thumbprint (a marking used as a signature on important documents), Yang’s work sought to bring focus to what are locally termed “redevelopment refugees”. These individuals and families whose homes and neighborhoods have been entirely demolished must not only watch as the places they have lived in disappear, but are also rarely compensated for their loss.

For Crossing Borders / Crossing Boundaries, Yang has expanded her Dots Series to incorporate the issue of refugees and migrants in Europe and further beyond. Working with local immigrants – in particular those working in the factory itself – Yang discusses their stories, their histories, their existence as they mark the wall together. These imprints act as a record of this moment whilst remaining entirely silent.
