The Long Road Home

Lost in the past, the present, likely in future times.
While we attempt to read between the blurried lines.
Reside among the vast seas in this abundant land.
Can all prosper for sure if collectively we stand?
Being alive and well or falling under a spell.
To agree or disagree, to derange, to yell and quell.
A new day to replay, the following done and gone.
In bed hoping to view the coming morning's dawn.
Unpredictable the journey that is well on its way.
Respect, love, and be humble is all I have to say.
The sick, the weak, and poor caught up within the fray.
For them I often ponder why others exploit and prey.
Is life so full of color or is it just merely grey?
World thoughts often too many to even try and weigh.
Down this road I still tread making it day by day.
A place to find myself in peace and to forever stay.
