From my research into 'The Order of The Solar Temple' my focus fell upon the ethereal relationship
the leaders, inparticular had with fire, making this the founding principle of the island and culture.

The rugid mountainous terrain formed by fire dictates a specific way of living. To live off the land as much
as possible. As due to the dense forests and vegetation, urbanisation is impossible. Cultural and societal views and values including the class system spawn from the key element of fire.

The Pendants
Mating season is signified by a full moon,when the sun's fire is most reflected. The male and female contingents alternate who displays their skills to find a mate. Knights may seduce anyone. Paladin's may only stay or go down a class. The Novice's may fornicate within their own class unless seduced by a Paladin
or Knight.
As members ascend through the classes membersare allowed to keep the different pistons just in case their status is undone by reprisals, i.e. breaking the law. The laws and the judiciary system are the same as the more established Falkland Islands.
In recent years some members have gone rogue once stripped of their status. This has happened at all levels
of society, even to a Knight who before the date of punishment vanished into the inhabitable part of the island, never to be seen again. When others suffered the same fate they too fled into the woods in search of this Knight. Collectively becoming 'The Fallen'.
Generating fire has always been an intrinsic part of the development and survival of mankind, the pendants
are a reminder of how important fire is to life. When you need to cook food or purify water through boiling,
the key is with you at all times spiritually and physically.
The Neolithic ritual of lighting a fire has petered out to become a mundane routine task. The fires generated
by the pendants are not just for daily necessities. They help generate a sense of community, by helping
out one another when in need. For example, having run out of char cloth, islanders will be more than welcome
to aid a fellow brother or sister in getting by.

the spread of the word. The word is spread by removing all outside influences from newcomers, sewing
the seed of the message within them. Thus spreading the information wider and faster each revolution

Paladin's aid and support the Knights in the metamorphosis of non-believers into fully-fledged islanders,
once the internal flames of knowledge have been ignited. The Knights and Paladins help the combustible ideas burn. This process is known as oxidation.
