VanShelter was conceived and created at the 2011 Open Data Hackathon. In the course of 4 hours, I worked with Mike Ivanov to create this proof-of-concept app.
The app watches twitter accounts for changes in bed availability and updates the display automatically.

When a shelter has beds available, it is brighter than the shelters with no availability.
