I have never liked onions, but I chose them for that exact reason. I started out messing with the O’s in onion and replacing them with onions but never liked the outcome. After going through many different variations it was decided that I should start back from scratch. I started by making my own type design from scratch and that’s when the idea of making a spring onion come out of the O. After that an earth like color palette was chosen and adjusting the spacing of the type.
