Aspidistra Books is an indepenedant book retailer & events company based in Manchester. Designers were asked to create an identity through a competition, however to my dismay, the competition had ended before I had a chance to send them my designs & ideas. I decided to continue the design process regardless, as a way to expand my portfolio & experiment.
I kept things clean & simple by framing the words 'Aspidistra' & 'Books' with rectangles to allude to two books sitting on top of one another.
The graphic elements are very present on the website & compensate sometimes for the lack of quality in photography or images which have been taken from Aspidistra Books' social media.
