I was responsible for the design of Courtney Granger's latest album, Beneath Still Waters, on Valcour Records. It's a warm and comforting affair, in the tradition of country classicists such as George Jones. The 'mid 70s country music vibe' was the thematic touchstone for the typesetting and layout choices. It's the first album that Valcour has released on vinyl, so I also had a hand in designing a template for their vinyl disc labels. Transparent blue vinyl with metallic gold ink on the labels. This project was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to listening to it on my own turntable partnered with a nice glass of bourbon.
