    Sophomore Mini-thesis project
Chalk Typography
Sophomore Mini Thesis | Spring 2012
UMSL | Jennifer McKnight
This mini thesis is based on a style of chalk typography similar to Dana Tanamachi. I researched other designers/letters to see how they handled handmade type. That research include Louise Fili, Jessica Hische, John Passafiume, Dana Tanamachi and Jeff Rogers. I wanted to create posters using this style to create an awareness about top phobias people have in America. Eventually, I would like this to be a small magazine which would include articles and first hand experiences about each of the top three phobias.

Mysophobia is used to describe a pathological fear of contamination and germs. This phobia is commonly referred to as germophobia or a germophobic person.
Acrophobia is the extreme and irrational fear of heights. It belongs to a category of specific phobias, called space and motion discomfort that share both similar etiology and options for treatment.
