Pattern design
The artwork is a textile pattern design originally designed for a sarong. I have taken inspiration from the Indonesian shadow puppets. I have used small triangles and rectangles to break the organic design and give it a little contemporary look. The elements used in my design are basically motifs and characters used in the art of shadow puppets.

The pattern can be used on various surfaces, cushion covers being one of them.The flamingo bird motifs are going to be block printed after the background is silk screened onto fabric.
