As a dorm meant for islamic university students (UMY Yogyakarta), UNIRES has strict rules in accordance to religious practices, which was often perceived as the opposite of modern life. Meanwhile, as future scientists and thinkers, UNIRES dorm members wanted to mix islamic values and modern overlook to represent themselves as creative thinkers that stay rooted to their beliefs in their annual yearbook.

Based on these needs, we tried to create modern islamic illustration designs and layout elements that employed vector graphics for modern looks and arabian fonts and visual elements that represents islam, with bright color palettes to represent youth.
