Inspired by escapism and travels, Transitory Transcendence is the exploration of the sense of awe and the temporal suspension one feels when experiencing the sublime, especially in today's context where we live and think in fragments due to time space compression.
With the advancement of technology, we now have the world at our fingertips and we are constantly bombarded with repeated constant reproduction of the same imageries, also being overloaded with excessive information. The experience of awe allows one to momentarily escape from this chaotic schizophrenic environment, allowing a temporal stillness in one’s life. This finite existence with reduction of fragmentation and limitation is represented by a mirage like, magnified perception of reality, like the calm in the eye of a storm.
