The Task
Boardmans and Elle Decoration held a competition to design a stool that would be sold in Boardmans shops across the country. The brief was very broad allowing us to design anything from a simple ottoman to a sophisticated bar stool. The design had to have an underlying narrative, and the stool had to be made.

The Outcome
The Cantiman is a sophisticated ottoman designed for upmarket homes, shops or galleries. The name Cantiman comes from the cantilever frame, and an ottoman. The combination of chromed tubular steel and an upholstered leather seat, coupled together with a considered, simplistic design makes for a refined luxurious stool.
