Branding, packaging and identity
Terracotta first started circa 2014, with the name of "Purple Terracotta" as an experiment where crafty and natural materials were mixed with accessories. Until May 2016, the project grew into something more serious and refined, leaving the purple and turning into Terracotta.
The studio was in charge of this transformation, we took the brand as as it was, and transformed it into a more serious and fine matter, developing the brand essence, packaging and communication.
To start, we built a custom typography for the logotype, bolder and more premium looking, taking the purple as a principal color to make a statement and keep a part of the old brand within the new one. The “T” became the icon, strong and independent, some of the brand values.
The applications were all based in simplicity, trying to utilise white and negative space at maximum, combined with purple and grey, the brand’s color palette.
