Un set di posate da uno scarto di bambù utilizzato per costruire case, lungo un piede. Un prodotto disegnato per essere realizzato dalle donne che lavorano al Bamboo Center di Auroville (Kottakarai, Tamil Nadu). 

100% organico, lavabile e resistente,

Pic-Nic Set é nato in Tamil Nadu come un gioco per prendersi in giro e fingersi occidentali al momento dei pasti, utilizzando le posate anziché le mani. 

E' un souvenir per chi ha assaporato la vita avventurosa del viaggiatore attento all'ecologia. E' un progetto che ha lo scopo di generare un guadagno e un lavoro alle donne locali. Uno strumento per incoraggiare la collaborazione di uomini e donne insieme, in un paese in cui i loro ruoli sono molto distinti e l'importanza di queste ultime viene sottostimata.

Vuole essere  la dimostrazione che il bambù è il materiale del futuro e il suo impiego spazia davvero dal cucchiaio alla città - cit. Ernesto N. Rogers, 1952 - e vice versa!

100% organic, washable and durable, Pic-Nic Set was developed in Tamil Nadu humorously pretending to be westerners at meal times, and using cutlery to eat. 

It 'a souvenir for those who have tasted the adventurous life of a traveler interested in the eco-friendly philosophy. It 's a project that aims to generate income and jobs for local women. 

A venture to encourage cooperation among men and women in a country where their roles are very distinct and the importance of the latter is underestimated.

The product wants to be a demonstration that bamboo is the material of the future and its application ranges from spoon to the city (this sentence is the historic italian modernist manifesto coined by Ernesto N. Rogers in 1952) - and vice versa!
