Karmalatté is a new coffee choice for those who want to drink coffee and feel no regrets about their choice. Coffee is a sacred drink for many, it is part of cultures,traditions and moments in people’s lives. The goal for this packaging project was to create an alternative language to talk about this product without having a direct connection with it. I choice Buddhism, which is a religious practice. Ancient cultures, defined by the term Buddha “the awakened one”. By using Buddhist terms, my idea is to embrace the experience of drinking coffee, as well show the devotion people have towards coffee.
As a result I have created a series of coffee lattes. Each of them bring characteristics coffee to a more spiritual level. There are five types: “sweet enlightenment”, “rich wisdom”, “nirvana delight”, “smooth meditation” and “aromatic dharma”.
