Elysium Inspired Droid
I modeled this droid using Maya after being inspired by the movie Elysium. I really like how their works are so unique and realistic. The texture is being created using Photoshop.
The progress of modelling this droid was especially long and hard as there is no blueprint or tutorial anywhere on the web. So i searched for a bunch of concept arts and screen shots from the movie itself and used them as my references. Some parts, ike the head is not exactly the same as the one in the movie as i changed the design a little to make it easier to model.
After the modelling and texturing is done, the model is being composited into some carpark photos i took. HDRI is later added to the robot for more realistice reflections, as it has lots of reflective surfaces. Ao is rendered seperately and composited in using Photoshop.
