performances of public art aim to engineer wonder, initiate public engagement and build community. Through its unique design and functionality, their new website provides a framework to showcase the history and mission of their distinctive spectacle work. It also showcases Redmoon's catalog of items available to rent for special events and parties.
The online presence of Redmoon is intended to mirror the exploration, discovery and interactive component to their art. Throughout the site, subtle pieces of navigation and interaction can be found providing the viewer a more rich and immersive experience.
To reinforce the "full bleed" experience that is Redmoon, traditional navigation was sidestepped in favor of a collapsable side bar. This allowed project images and information to exist at the forefront throughout the site.
Redmoon's use of a blog is to catalog their process, research and experimentation. To support this, the typical blog entry list was transformed into a tiled view, presenting various types of media, feeds and authorship. Access to the process blog is present on every page reinforcing Redmoon's experimentation as the engine and machinery under the hood of public spectacle work.
This project was created at Firebelly
