Since Central Asia was such a vast super-highway, the stuff that got left behind is telling. In this case the burial mounds, or kurgans, of Siberia have yielded up enormous treasures...not the least of which are  rare textiles. Preserved in that cold, dry climate, have come some of the earths most precious rugs.
