The Dhangar community of Maharashtra is a small pastoral migratory group which travels from place to place to find grazing land for their goat and cattle. They travel by foot and on their horses. 

This is an illustrated eBook created for Anthra by Totem, aiming to educate the Dhangar community on the welfare of their horses, and create awareness of this small community to the world.

The limitations for the work were mainly that we had to keep the anatomy and structure of the horses intact since the information was very technical. The landscape and colours had to reflect those of their community and lands while not pushing the stylizing.
