Amate is a Typeface family designed to work on newspaper text, the project was in Cuernavaca, Morelos, México and amate is an usual tree in that place, many craftworkers use the paper that comes from this tree, hence the typeface name. Amate has a 'news' version with shorter ascendents and descendents. It can use in sixteen languages.
