Political Licence

POLITICAL LICENCE

Brief:
Create more transparency and clarity in the world of politics. Making politicians accountable for what they say.

Concept:
A political licence (that is publicly accessible) that elected politicians are required to hold. It would set out a clear level of expected standards, any deviations from these standards is recorded on the licence. For example, if a lie was told, points would be deducted from the licence and if all points were lost politicians potentially could be removed from parliament.

Website: This would be run by the people. All political lies addressed to the public are uploaded and fact-checked by the people to determine how truthful they are and consistent with previous declarations. Allowing people to only see, hear and read the truth. The overall aim is to promote and introduce the political licence.

What does it do: Helps people better understand the world of politics and removes miscommunication. People will have a clearer understanding of who and what they are voting for.
