A couple of nighttime long exposure pictures taken at the Rhine in Cologne. Not the most innovative of subjects, but I really like this aesthetic.
This first one is actually an HDR image composed of four distinct shots with different exposure times. It's also cropped with a 1:2.39 ratio to give it a cinematic look.
HDR, 17 mm, f/8.0, 6 - 30 sec, ISO 100
All aboard the party boat! It's not really noticable, but this is also an HDR image, this time composed of three shots. For some reason I shot them with different exposures AND different aperture sizes. Not my proudest moment.
HDR, 17 mm, f/13 - f/18, 10 - 20 sec, ISO 100
Another one that's cropped to 1:2.39. I find that this works really well for many of those pictures, as there's not much going on in the sky anyway and it puts more emphasis on the wide angles.
17 mm, f/8.0, 20 sec, ISO 100
The obligatory panorama, stitched together using three pictures.
Panorama, 17 mm, f/10, 15 sec, ISO 100
The other side of the bridge. I don't think there's any single spot in Cologne where more photographs have been taken than on that very prospect. But still ...
 28 mm, f/8.0, 15 sec, ISO 100
Spooky.
28 mm, f/8.0, 4 sec, ISO 100
Light-painting with involuntary cyclist participation. Steel wool is overused anyway.
30 mm, f/8.0, 8 sec, ISO 100
My favorite shot from that evening. Can't really put my finger on it, but I like the contrast in color, the leading lines created by the passing train and the overall composition.
17 mm, f/8.0, 15 sec, ISO 100
