A photographer and fellow college associate Rodrigo, in exchange for a small scanner at the time, asked for my help in producing a poster for Victor Jara: a Chilean teacher, theatre director, poet, singer-songwriter, political activist, who after being murdered turned into a symbol of struggle for human rights and justice across Latin America. I was provided with over 200 images and selected a mosaic design to represent this latin american icon. I painstakingly scaled and layered the images, mixing and matching the colours, prior to the knowledge of existing programs that could create this... and I loved how it turned out. I forwarded the mosaic to Rodrigo and he took care of the rest.
