Interactive System concept
During the four-month exhibition, beside on exhibits, there were a series of design activities such as workshops and seminars. The interactive system is multi-functional, providing information searching, gift shopping and appointment making.
The interface design was based on the guide system, and I redesigned a 3D map which provides the users a visual reference with depth.
Design Innovation:
Breaking the Limitations of Guide System In Printed Media
Printed media carries limited information. However, an exhibition contains a variety of information with complex media to disseminate that information, leading viewers to have difficulty interpreting all the information they receive. Thus, I think information should be presented in a more orderly, convenient , easy to understand, concise way.
Changing Access to Information By Using The Internet
One of joys of the Internet is "sharing". We could scan QR code to record information from exhibition hall, share information to friends and break the space restriction of reading information.
Humanistic Concern For Visitors
Based on my survey, I found that many children, the elderly and some disabled people could not obtain information by using mobile phones and touch screens. Therefore, equipment with a “ help” function is greatly needed to bring convenience for their operation.

System Composition:
The interactive system requires three devices. Mobile phones and touch screen can be in double-screen interaction. Exhibitors could record exhibit information and video by scanning QR Code, breaking time and space constraints of accessing to information, and of sharing information with others. At the same time, users could use mobile payment to buy exhibition souvenirs.
The intelligent guide device features built-in GPS, thus, users can access to geo-location information at any time. You can send a message to obtain help when met with any emergency. They are available to visitors unable to use touch screens and mobile phones.
