You're about to drive to London. You get in your car and use your phone to check directions
The refugee crisis is something that cannot be ignored.
A mass of people are forced to flee their homes in the
middle east and seek asylum in western Europe.
These people embark on this perilous journey, and
upon arriving in Europe, are mostly rejected by
communities who simply view them as intruders.
The gravity of their situation is not fully recognised
by the British public as it is hard to relate to them.
Create common ground. Make the
refugees relatable in order for their
situation to be better understood.
If we understood how bad their journey
is, which is their better option than
staying in their homes, we can get an
insight into their lives.
I used the notion of choosing to make a
journey the link between us and them.
The Red Cross is actively involved in helping refugees integrate into Europe, so seemed perfect that my
solution is on their behalf. As the common theme is journeys, transport related companies would partner
with The Red Cross for a limited time, with the surprise factor that put the British public’s journey into perspective.
