Mock-Ups / Prototypes
I have always enjoyed working on projects like these, thinking in 3 dimensions. I have done a lot of fixing of die files, or adjusting dies for various projects to make them work better. These samples are ones that I had created from scratch.
While I was working at COMMUNITIES Magazine, they decided to create a promotional item to send to our clients or potential clients that would show off the new metal distribution boxes that the company had just manufactured. They purchased somewhere around 300 of these metal boxes to by placed on sidewalks all over the Atlanta area and even outside the perimeter. It was a very big deal to the company. I came up with the idea to create a miniature size version of the boxes, printed on cardboard, that we could open up and fill with a copy of the magazine, some treats and some other printed material. The project was a HUGE success and the company received many compliments on the idea.
This is a Ballot Box that I created for Suntrust Bank. They were having a drawing and needed these for several locations. I created the Die Line and graphics for them, then these were printed onto corrugated cardboard material, die cut and folded.
