Tony Spencer is a writer that I work who is so passionate about a new innovative approach to gardening that he wanted to start a blog to share his experiences with other enthusiastic gardeners around the world. He came to me to create a design concept that would capture “The New Perennial” gardening style and give him an online platform to publish his thoughts and stunning photos (he is also a talented photographer).

 

“The New Perennial” style is about appreciating the complete life cycle of a garden so I created a design using a capital “P” formed by plants as they appear in the four seasons. The four “Ps” change randomly on each visit. This keeps the blog fresh and new. The site is also responsive so that so that the layout adapts to any electronic device. Other features include a content managed back end allowing the writer to control all the text all the text and images himself, and a simple, modern layout that allows visitors to easily enjoy the entertaining post and beautiful gardening pics. Now that is a design that is both functional and beautiful!
