On research about the block making regions of Gujarat and we found out that Pethapur was one of the most famous village where most the blocks of the printers in Gujarat were made. Wood blockmaking has been a popular profession among the inhabitants of Pethapur for almost 300 years.  So one morning we set out for Pethapur and talked to various craftsmen in the region about their craft, their process and the problems that they face.

We complied all out secondary research and primary research from the field in the form of this short document. This document was then later shortlisted in the Heritage Film Festival by an NGO called Aadhar
