I’d like to thank the ladies in the kitchen was the concept for this commission for a surprise 40th birthday pressie. We got briefed on all of the birthday boys loves, hobbies and interests. It started as a big old rugby and cricket fan, which inspired us to think backyard, grassroots sport and that classic saying of thanking the ladies in the kitchen. We created a giant sandwich character filled with unexpected delights like a roast chicken watching birds, a graduating brain rocking it out at Big Day Out and a cricket ball umpire sporting a fabulous Merv Hughes mo.
