Air-drying clay.

Mark and I took turns sculpting the face. 

After sculpting, the first of many layers of paint was applied.

Mark moved the resin around by lifting and flipping the piece to create the 'waves'.

Each layer is painted over but you can see all the way to the bottom if you look closely enough - there are some little objects underneath.
