For a History of Textiles class, I was asked to analyze a vintage, hand-made textile, at least more than 60 years old. The textile had to have been made using one of the many ancient techniques we learned about throughout the quarter. I decided to research an African cloth and after thorough research, came to the conclusion that it was a Kente cloth, which was developed out of Ghana, Africa. The following project is a booklet I made, comprised of research, images, analysis of African Kente cloth.
