I started this project to combine my love of movies and my interest in graphic design. I took a little time deciding on a movie to focus on, and I was thrilled when I found out Disney was making a movie based on The BFG; one of my favorite books growing up. I chose The BFG because Disney had just revealed they were making it into a movie so there wasn't a lot of material already out there, yet I also know a lot about the story. I took what I knew about the story and decided to make the title of the movie out of the 'dream jars' that are iconic in the book/movie. I decided to hyper focus on the details in this image, making the 'dreams' reflect properly on the wood of the shelf, as well as, the surrounding jars. Focusing so intensly on the detail, I ran out of time to include some jars on the bottom shelf like I originally intended, before I had to move on to the next project. I would tweak and add some things, but I am overall pleased with what I created and I look forward to seeing the movie.
