When a friend of mine approached me to design a logo for a new company he was starting I wasn't sure what to expect. When I heard the name 'Foam Your Home' fluffy images immediately came to mind. Then I heard 'insulation' and I thought of the more masculine world of construction. Finally I was told this was an environmentally friendly eco insulation and that this identity needed to portray these benefits as well. I took the challenge of connecting these contrary styles by using a colour combo of mixed-cement grey and fluorescent green with a strong stencil typeface that also had a foamy roundness. This is what I came up with: something masculine, modern and fresh with a friendliness that would definitely stand out in the market.
