Belief in life after death in the minds of the indigenous people of the Carpathians is stable. The dead interact with the living world, complete earthly affairs, are redeeming sins, communicate with relatives and can cause damage. The presence of the dead in the world of the living is mostly a negative phenomenon, so one resorted to various manipulation to prevent it.
