The Guitar Hero 6 game controller was designed to reduce cost, material, and manufacturing time. We saw the cost reduction exercise as an opportunity to further reduce waste and moved all the electronics to the central fret-board. This would allow the electronics "core" to stay the same, while body and headstock changes could completely refresh the look and theme of the controller.
This project was completed as Project Lead and Design Director at Y Studios along with Liam Adelman, Grace Kim, and Wai-Loong Lim. I designed and built the final body and headstock designs in SolidWorks for hand off to the Contract Manufacturer.
