'ARXITEKTON' project is a gif series made for ANI GIF online gallery, curated by Sarah Caluag and Daniel Rehn, and presented as solo show May 9 - August 9 2013. The series consists of two parts - two diferent isometric views. Below are selected gifs from the 'ARXITEKTON I'.
'ARXITEKTON' project is inspired by architectural design and old school computer games. The idea was to mix together the two opposing styles: 8-bit graphics aesthetic with 3D design, and retro computer graphics with contemporary techniques and trends (like digital 'glitching').
The result is a series of graphic, yet three-dimensional forms, resembling architectural blueprints, 80s computer games and children's books illustrations, animated, and 'installed' in the isometric mesh space, so some of the objects come out of it like from the wall or a floor.
