The Drama League is a national association dedicated to assisting artists and enriching theater audiences. With the goal of creating living interaction between audiences and actors, the organization strives to bridge those behind the curtain together with theater enthusiasts. Since its inception, The Drama League has trained and developed young artists with a shared passion for making theater arts stronger for future generations. The Drama League just commemorated its 100th anniversary.
Every year the organization produces more than 100 theater-related events throughout New York. With its first award handed out in 1922, the League hosts the nation’s longest-running theatrical honors gala, The Drama League Awards, to recognize excellence in the performance, production, and revival of plays and musicals. Hosting hundreds of classes, workshops, and rehearsals at its Theater Center, The Drama League opens the door for producers and theater-goers a place to inspire, learn, share, and create future living masterpieces.
Mr Wirth in his fourth year of Board membership has helped procure contributions and sponsors for support of the major Drama League events of the year. The League is one of the critical cogs of the Broadway wheel.
