A keyboard made out of wood?
In our workshop in the South of France we create portable wireless keyboards which are handcrafted from single pieces of solid premium wood. The wood is sourced from family owned forests in France, and the families look after their resources for generations to come.
Each Board is cut from a single piece of wood, this ensures that the pattern of the grain is preserved across the shell and keys. It is then sanded down until it's soft to the touch.
The Orée Touch Slab was designed as a natural extension of the Board. It is a multi touch trackpad that also serves as a numerical keypad.
