Zipcar Digital Rebrand

Brief:
Design Studio approached us with a live brief to create a digital first rebrand of Zipcar, a car sharing company.
 
 
Concept:
Through varied reseach and exploration into the Zipcar brand and narrative, I created the concept “Trailblazers and Trendsetters”, which is what Zipcar described themselves as within the brief. The car was often overlooked within the identity of zipcar, and for the rebrand it became the hero of the brand. 
 
 
Solution:
The idea of the car becoming the hero for the brand led my solution towards zipcar, in which different artists would create decals for the cars as limited edition specials. The art cars show the personality of zipcar, and the scope for the brand. The target demographic is young and trendy, and therefore this idea of a dynamic brand that is changing and constantly evolving with new artists and young, trendy designs would appeal.
 
 
The mark is dynamic and uses the artists signature which becomes part of the logo.
 
 
The car becomes the ‘hero’ for the brand. 
APP:
 
The app will be for existing users to find the car they have reserved,
with a built in navagation on the app and to see what zipcars are in the area.
WEBSITE:

The website is for new users to find out more about zipcar. It is a parallex
scrolling website, so you find out more as you scroll. The website also shows
how the app works and what happens when you join zipcar.
