My Mole West Sketchbook
The Mole West restaurant collaborates with the school I was studing at to create an annual winelabel for their house wine.
For my approach I chose the most sensual and direct graphic tools, and for the first part of the process stayed away from the computer. In a sketchbook I explored sunset, reed, water and the lake with charcoal, inks and pigments. The "M" and "W" 's stand for the Mole West logo. The text uses the Mole West house font and is transfered from inkjet prints.
The next step was to combine the scanned pages in photoshop until I was happy with the result:
