Pitch
The story I want to tell is in form of a mockumentary, the story follows the young and upcoming 16 year old basketball player, Jerome Mansilla. He loves nothing more than basketball. All his life, he trained his mind and body all for the sake of basketball. In this mockumentary, we’ll go through his past experiences, struggles, and his journey to the rim but the thing this is, Jerome is not very good at the sport. He’s terrible in fact but he truly believes that he is good. All of his great stories are in fact true, but they’re all against people who also aren't very good. I plan on using my phone to film most of the scenes and I’ll most likely be doing it after school or maybe on the weekends if I need to. If I film after school, I have access to some classrooms and the outdoor basketball court outside so I’ll film there and I plan on filming 3 – 5 of my friends. I plan on making this film like a typical basketball documentary where the main character is talking about his story and struggle. In these documentaries, there are a lot of cinematic shots of them walking around or the actual city around them so I’ll include these types of shots along with an interview-like shot and others.
