When I was just an ambitious twig of a girl, I had the privilege of interning for Winge Design in Chicago, where Robin Winge taught me everything I know about being a reliable, hard-working, perfectionist bad-ass. One of the first projects she put me on was proofreading the University of Chicago's alumni magazine. She still tells the story of how, when I finished editing the first issue, I came into her office and said, "Can we talk about their content now?"
