It's like a Rock Tour, but with Sketchbooks.
In 2011 I participated in this sketchbook project. The idea is to pick a theme, recieve a sketchbook to do with it what you will, and mail it back. The sketchbook then goes on tour around the world then gets catalogued in the Brooklyn Art Library. Thousands of artists participate.
For my sketchbook I decided to do little designs on all of the pages, the way I used to doodle in high school. The theme I chose was "Fill Me With Stories" and I have words on every page that means something significant to me as an artist. I finished it on time and mailed it in. It's call number is 156.23-8.
