The initial load screen. We had originally envisioned loading all US storms, but the number of points the application would have to draw was too many. From here, the user can select a location and radius, and it will pull back all storms that passed through that search area.
The results screen. We modeled this application on the idea of "shopping" for storms. You have the ability to refine your search based on storm strength, see details of an individual storm, and then add it to "My Storms." Eventually, users will have the ability to download those tracks to their computer for further analysis.
The details page for an individual storm. Being that this was a Flex app, we decided to not allow horizontal OR vertical scrolling, which means the data table in the left pane can be a bit cramped. Were we to have time to do some changes, I would want to rethink confining these details to that side panel.
