Each year, more transistors are produced than grains of rice. They are invisible to us, although they change from scratch and increasingly determine our lives. In a collaborative project between the Muthesius Academy of Arts and the Fraunhofer-Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT, more than 100 students tasked themselves making this topic visible by art and design. Invisible documents the 16 best and award-winning projects.

 

Based on the printed publication - designed by Vanessa Schnurre and Michael Haberbosch – we developed an app for the iPad. In addition to images and texts of the awarded projects this digital exhibition catalogue contains video documentations and animations. In landscape mode the screen changes to a virtual gallery which acts as the navigation.
