Creates as a centerpiece for a skateboard deck art show which I curated, these Steelcase office chairs were saved from the scrap yard and coupled with broken skateboard decks salvaged from a local skate shop.
Deceptively comfortable the curves of the upcycled skateboard decks conform to the body's seated shape making them as good to sit in as they are to look at.
Originally a set of four chairs were created of which only 1 remains with the other 3 finding their new homes providing a splash of color and cool to home offices and cubicles.
Custom chairs are available for $300 each pending material availability.
