1000 Bornes
A popular French card game with an iconic design from the sixties.
I've played this game since childhood and have always found the card design fascinating. The object of the game is to travel 1000 bornes (milestones) before the other players. The fun part is throwing all sorts of roadblocks in order to slow down oppenents. I've illustrated these cards along with their positive counterparts that get you out of trouble and back on the road.

While the card design is humourous and lively, I strived to correct small imperfections. For example, I created a grid, adjusted the proportions of several elements and cleaned up printing errors.

The original design is attributed to the graphic designer Joseph Le Callennac circa 1960.
