The nature of the project is an objective look at the positive and negative points of the Refugee Crisis (2015). Rather than the more conventional means of viewing an opinionated piece by the media which sways the user towards a direction in the argument, the topic can be presented in an even balance to allow someone who would normally lean towards one side to be informed of the other.
The idea came from the thought that there is usually two sides to an argument and that the issue itself can be seen as an argument. So why not take an argument and present two sides to it? I call it "The Black and White" respectively, as it relates to the contrast of opinions and ideas being as different as the two colours.
I looked at a wide variety of media, read a lot of articles and talked to as many people as I can to gauge their opinions to build a small list of points taken from each side. After reading into it until I gained an understanding of the overall argument, I promptly created a script and refined it, drew up storyboards using the script and began creating the video using a combination of Adobe After Effects CC, Premiere CC, Audition CC, Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC together.
